Lone Lake Fly Fishing Reports
Generally, late October and early November brings some of the best reports from Lone Lake on Whidbey Island. This year is no exception with fly fisherman catching good numbers of rainbows in the 14 - 20 inch range. These fish are feeding heavily putting on he feed bag before their metabolic rate declines with the colder winter water temps. We should see good fishing for at least a few more weeks.
Most fly guys have been fishing a variety of leech patterns in black, olive or maroon.
This might be a good bet if you are looking for something to do on one of the few nice days we see in November.
