Portion Of Skagit River To Close To All Angling For Four Days
A portion of the Skagit River to close to all fishing for 4 days
Action: Close a portion of the Skagit River to all fishing.
Effective date: Oct. 2, 3, 9, and 10, 2018.
Species affected: All species.
Location: Skagit River (Skagit Co.) from the mouth to 200 feet upstream of the Baker River.
Reason for action: A portion of Skagit River will close to all fishing to avoid gear conflicts with treaty fisheries scheduled those dates.
Additional information: Fisheries upstream of a line 200 feet above the Baker River will remain open as listed in the Washington Sport Fishing Rules pamphlet.
Anglers are asked to respect tribal fishers and reminded to not interfere with tribal fisheries. Conflicts that arise during on-going fisheries may necessitate additional time and area closures in the future to reduce conflicts.
